020.0040

The exhibition, Never Ending Stories. The Loop in Art, Film, Architecture, Music, Literature and Cultural History, was accompanied by a comprehensive reference work in German and English, edited by Ralf Beil. The publication sheds light on the multifaceted theme of the show in a way that is both scientifically sound and creatively inspired, and also includes detailed commentaries on the exhibited works.

13 essays written especially for the book by renowned authors - including Aleida and Jan Assmann, Norbert Bolz, Claudia Dillmann, Michael Glasmeier, Lars Jaeger, Joachim Kalka, Stefan Klein, Peter Kraut, Niklas Maak, Peter Sloterdijk and Franziska Stöhr - entered into an exciting dialog with texts by Stephanie Lovász and Michael Schultze as well as selected source texts by Étienne-Louis Boullée, Julio Cortázar, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Kraftwerk, Friedrich Nietzsche, Plato and Simon Reynolds.

The publication was created by design studio Eggers + Diaper and published by Hatje Cantz Verlag. The high-quality hardcover volume comprises 360 pages with around 650 illustrations.
