In an impressive interplay of essays on contemporary history, photo reportages and photographic art, the volume brings together contributions by Ralf Beil, Michael Glasmeier, Fabian Köster, Alexander Kraus, Aleksandar Nedelkovski, Stefanie Pilzweger-Steiner, Stephan Ruderer, Annette Vowinckel, Martina Winkler and Ulf Erdmann Ziegler.

The publication is supplemented by an extensive selection of previously unpublished photographs and contact sheets as well as key reports from the pivotal year of 1968.
